Information about the course

This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to undertake Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) induction training within the construction industry. It requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of WHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry

Target audience: This unit is designed to meet WHS regulatory authority requirements for WHS induction and must be achieved before access to any building and construction work site. The target group will be people requiring training to safely work on construction sites.

People across construction sites who need to have a ‘CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry white card include but are not limited to:

  • Workers and persons who enter operational construction zones/sites
  • Managers/supervisors
  • Labourers/tradespeople

Our online White Card Course (CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) provides individuals and groups an opportunity to gain their White Card certificate direct from US the Registered Training Organisation, not through an on-seller.

Prerequisites: You must be over 14 years of age to complete this course and hold identification.

Award issued: Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for - CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.

Course duration: Approximately between three and six hours depending on computer skills, literacy skills as well as prior knowledge in the industry.

Cost: Only $55.00 per person, NO hidden fees.

White Card Course Requirements

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO STUDENTS AS FROM 19th JULY 2019– Please read.

There has been a major change affecting the students to are eligible to complete online training for the unit CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.

Students who do not live in Queensland or Western Australia are no longer able to complete this training online.

If you are located in Western Australia, you can complete the course and be issued with a Western Australian White card.

If you are located in Queensland, you can only complete the online course after you have investigated and found that there is no suitable face to face option available within 100 kilometres of your residence. After completing the online White card course, you would then be issued with a Queensland White card.

If you live in any of the following locations you must complete the face to face white card course:

  • New South Wales
  • Victoria
  • Australian Capital Territory
  • Northern Territory
  • Tasmania
  • South Australia

 

To enrol and complete this course online you will need:

  • To be over the age of 14
  • Have your own email address
  • Have access to a smart phone or camera attached to your computer or tablet
  • Have access to the internet
  • Your own identification
  • You can complete the course at your pace. You can finish one part, and continue with the next part at a later date.
  • To complete this course and be issued with a White Card, you must successfully:
    • complete online multiple-choice assessment
    • complete a live online practical assessment interview
    • provide evidence of your photo ID to the assessor during the practical assessment interview
    • provide Independent Witness declaration for assessments.

You will require a smart phone or camera attached to your computer or tablet to complete the practical requirements of the Training Package.

You will also require the following items of protective equipment, to be demonstrated during the practical assessment interview:

  • Hard hat
  • High visibility retro reflective vest
  • Hearing protection
  • Eye protection

All online components require 100% pass mark.

Note: Our system will remember where you last finished and ask you if you would like to resume your progress. This means you are able to continually log in and out of the online course and complete sections of the course when you have free time available to set aside. You will need to ensure however, that the whole course is completed within a reasonable time frame.

Payment

As soon as you complete the course and are found to be competent in all the required aspects of the course, you can make your payment via credit card on our secure gate way. Once we have your payment, we will be able to email you a copy of your certificate and card number.

This will be send you your white card number by email, this will be followed by your actual hard copy wallet card which will be mailed out in the post to your postal address the same day.
